Hola hola! It's been a bit, last P-day i was sick in bed, vomiting a bit and with fevers. But we're good! Valuable lesson learned, don't eat free Sea-food from the back of some random guy's truck! In my defense, it was for the sake of talking to him. And it was really good. So anyways, lots has happened so lets get into it
Last week: By far the highlight of this week was Zone conference. Close second was the sea food. This Zone conference was the last one with President and Sister Meek. I love them so much, it'll be sad to see em go. President went out with a bang, talking about 3 Nephi 12 and baptism. In the final bit, he started talking about the final interview and the questions included in that, it was brigido.
This week was super good, we focused a lot on helping our friends progress, working on commitments and such. We have had to stop teaching the vast majority of our amigos, which is always sad but also amazing that we can keep focused on the elect. Cool miracle: we have been inviting everyone and their dog to church this week. Every Amigo, lots of formers, we sent a video invitation to our branch for them to send out and we've talked about it with every street contact. Sunday came, and nobody that we contacted showed up. It really was quite humbling, we had worked so hard specifically to help others come to christ through church. I remember thinking something like, "alright Heavenly Father, i know i'm far from perfect, but i really don't know what we could have done more. We need help." A few minutes later, this family of three walk in! They came and watched the testimonies, and after as we talked with them, they told us that they were new in the area, and they really enjoyed the spirit that is present in the meetings. They asked how they could learn more, and committed to coming every week!
Now the crazy part, after we had been talking for a bit, one of them told us that they had received a call, asking them to come to the church and come to Christ. It just so happens that they have REALLY been humbled by circumstances recently, and are beyond open to finding relief through Christ. They asked us how we had obtained their number, and we explained that it wasn't us. Upon further investigation, we found out it wasn't any of the members at the capilla, and to this time we still don't know who it was. All i do know is that it was guided by God.
Their names are Leonardo, Jocelyn and Aner. Prayers for them are greatly appreciated.
Other things that have happened:
- We told this lady we're missionaries, and she responded with, "Missionaries.... or ROBBERS??"
- My companion walks like Squidward dancing. I love him.
- We went to the beach as a district and got wrecked by the rain.
Love yall!
