Guarani

Hey! This week started out with some interviews with president. President Gervic is a sharp guy, and I always appreciate his thoughts. I usually feel like I've just finished talking with master Oogway when i leave interviews with him.

On Tuesday I had exchanges with Elder Portillo. He's from Argentina, grew up in Paraguay, and his primary language is Guarani. Guarani is pretty gnarly, sometimes he'll just go off speaking it for a sec and it sounds like an angry Ewoc. The first few times he did it, I thought he was trying to curse me or something.

I've come to develop a love for hot water. Heat up some water, throw in some lemon or honey or mint or whatever, (and/or maté,) and boom- you're on the way for a fantastic day. I had the flu this past week, so i've just kind of been carrying hot water around.

I did some come, follow me for a change this week in my studies, and read a bit about Jeremiah. Lots of powerful lessons to be learned there, I recommend studying at least the first chapter.

Anyways, love y'all!

Moving houses, Zone conference, General Conference, 80 XXL fajitas, Volcanos Waterfalls (oh my!)

Moving houses, Zone conference, General Conference, 80 XXL fajitas, Volcanos Waterfalls (oh my!)

Alright so i already mentioned that I was moving houses and such, its been cool living with some other Elders. We hit the morning insanity videos as a group #physicalgains=eternalgains

The Zone Conference went well! Great training from the President and the AP's about the Atonement, our training went pretty smoothly. We were in charge of food, so earlier in the week we ordered 80 XXL pollo fajitas from Come y Calla. Their reaction to us ordering so many fajitas was pretty priceless. Needless to say, that place loves the missionaries.

Already mentioned General Conference, we had a cool milagrito! Alonso, one of our friends is progressing quickly. He sent us a photo of  him watching General Conference on Saturday, and advised us that his mother had died that day, and that the funeral was on Sunday, so he probably wouldn't watch the Sunday sessions.

Well, we followed up with how he was doing, and he advised us that he had streamed the Conference ON THE WAY TO AND FROM THE FUNERAL. man's straight up a spiritual gangster. He told us about how there was a specific man who felt more powerful when he spoke, and that his talk really helped Alonso out. Turns out the talk was vencer el mundo, from President Nelson. We had a really special moment explaining to him that President Nelson is a Prophet, and how his message did in fact apply to Alonso.

Last P-day we went to Volcano Osorno and a Waterfalls! It was windy. Not much more to say here...

With everything going on, I've felt stressed the last little bit. I had a lot of questions, and everything seemed way too complicated for me to handle. Studying "Christ is the answer" from this last Conference helped me out a lot, go hit it up.

Love y'all!!

Moving and Volcanoes

Holy cow lots has happened in the last two weeks. I feel intimidated at the prospect of organizing this entry hehe, dont worry i'll keep it brief

Alrighty so with the transfers there were a  few of the Elders in the mission who missed their flights down to the southern zones, so we just kind of booled around with Elder Young and Elder Bateman for a sec. It was a good time, we hadn't been able to buy food the last P-day because of independance day, so we had to get real creative with our stores of food. Lentejas for the win🤘🥳

We received notice last week that the contract with our house was ending, and we had a few days to move out. We thought it was a little weird that we hadn't received direction from the housing coordinator, so we called him up and i guess with all that has been going on with the mission office change, our place just kind of flew under the radar. Long story short, we hired this guy named Mauricio, and the next two days were full of moving all of our stuff- fridge, clothes washer and all- to another house. We are now living with the Antillanca Elderes in centro, and we've got a ton of random furniture throughout the house

This moving process, General Conference, and the planning of next week's zone conference all happened to compile in the same 3- day period. In those three days, there were also some very large family issues that our friends were having. Basically, i was pretty stressed out😅 General Conference really was a tender mercy for me, I felt as though the Prophet and Apostles were directly addressing me and the friends we are teaching.

Hasta Vernos con el rey

Hola todos! ... This is my last email as a missionary. Writing that out bring me an incredible amount of emotions. I am sad, yes, but most...
