1st transfer complete

Howdy howdy howdy. This week was very fun, but not a lot happened on the outside. It was a pretty typical week for us. We found 15 people, had like 20 planned lessons, all fell through but 2 (usually they pretty much all fall through so this was hype.) Something really cool that happened was I was able to go to the temple again with our recent convert, Lauren. I thought it was funny bc I came out expecting not to go at all for the duration of my mission and I've already been twice. hopefully it keeps up!! *knocking on all the wood*

Another funny thing was we cold called into someone in our area. This was INSANE, literally the first time I've called someone in my area my whole mission. (we have a tiny area.) He was grumpy at first, softened his heart, and gave his address which was in the middle of nowhere. Except PSYCH we show up after miles of sketchy dirt road and road signs telling us to turn around we show up to his house, and its not his house. it's his super grumpy, super Baptist Dad's house😂 We were dying laughing and weren't actually sad because we got to see a lot of beautiful country on our way out there. A little disappointing that we haven't called someone in our area yet, but oh well as long as I'm devoted to bringing people closer to Christ regardless of outcome I'm happy.
Anyways keep the emails coming! I can't respond until Wednesdays but they are so fun to read throughout the week! love ya'll!

God's got rythym

Super cool week! it provided pretty unique insight for me on how God works behind the scenes. It was a week full of rejection but also really cool spiritually led experiences. I'll start with a really cool miracle I had the privilege to be a part of:

OK so there me and Elder K were. it was Saturday, and out of like 3 or 4 Planned Lessons none of them ended up working out. With all the freed up time, me and Elder prayed about where we should go. We got prompted to go check up on this family in a trailer park, and so we went but they weren't there. As we were leaving, I noticed this man watching us from his porch. I'm like, aight Elder uno mas, let's go talk to him, and elder was like aight let's swing it and so we go talk to him.
Turns out he's a really cool guy named William, and he barely speaks English. He's pretty open to our message, and I know enough Spanish to explain and leave a book of Mormon with him and schedule a return appointment.
Sunday rolls around and while at church we feel prompted to ask Sis. Lopez, a really cool member with way better Spanish, help us out.
The time of our lesson comes, Me and Elder and Sister Lopez and her daughter roll up just as William gets home. What happens next is a really rad, spirit led lesson. during the lesson, We found out that William had seen missionaries as a kid in Nicaragua. he didn't know why, but he knew he had to talk to them but he was too shy. Long story short, HE HAD BEEN WAITING FOR MISSIONARIES FOR 52 YEARS. By the end of the lesson, everyone is in tears. they thank us for sharing the restored gospel to them, and ask if they can have a bunch of Spanish Book of Mormons because they were leaving to Nicaragua THE NEXT DAY and wanted to share with their family there. they're gonna be in Nicaragua for about half a year, so we caught them just in time.
All of this went to show me how in the details God really is. Had our lessons not dropped, or had we not followed prompting, we would've missed the opportunity to find literally the most prepared people I've met so far, and their fam in Nicoragua wouldn't have received the word for us. I know that he was preparing me for this moment, as I knew the Spanish necessary to get that return appointment. LITERALLY INSANE.
Anyways, sorry that was a little long but just wanted to share that experience with ya'll. literally love ya'll so much, keep up the emails bc they carry me throughout the week. know that even though things may look bad, as long as we are following the spirit the outward outcome does not matter.

Field is mostly green, ready to water

hello friends✌ it's been a very hard week but it has been a great growing experience. first off, Gracie's baptism! did not have a ton of time to explain last time but she is actually the sisters convert. she is 15, super sassy but it was fun. first time baptizing someone, so that was cool. super excited to find some people who are ready for the gospel. this week has been bittersweet, lots of drop lessons and rejections. there is one guy I'm actually super excited for, he's a cold call find and really wanted a book of Mormon and we've met with him once and he was like,"wow ya'll are way cooler than I thought you would be, I was expecting like cult aliens or something idk." so that was pretty funny.

anyways, fun week. glad to see the lord trusts me enough to give me challenges! that or I'm just being humbled...
kidding but actually feel so blessed and lifted up right now. love ya'll💙
also! got maté! shout out to my mom!

Had my parents send me Maté, t'was greatly missed up till now.

Wild Week

Sooooo if I were to describe this week in one word it would be unique. Beginning-ish of week we taught this man and he was very thankful. We said a prayer with him and then he told us that we prevented him from killing someone, needless to say me and my comp were like ?😂 we got outta there pretty quick haha. Something else that happened was actually kinda sad, We've found like 5 really solid people the last few weeks and randomly one morning they all texted us and told us they didn't want to see us again. not gonna lie, that one hurt a bit. Oh well, all we can really do is share the message and guide people, in the end they have their agency.

this happened right before General Conference, so me and elder Kreimeyer didn't have anyone come to the church and watch it. it's all good tho, the Cunningham sisters came in clutch with like 10 in person investigators, it was fun to fellowship with them. also General Conference 2021 was straight fire.
The last bit of craziness happened yesterday. We knocked this door and a lady dressed like a witch answered? People here are weird haha. anyways while we were talking her dog got out and the next 45 min. consisted of us running through the woods to catch it. anyways then we go to a former named Gary. turns out he's in jail, so we knocked the next door over.
What happened next was straight out of a safety zone video. this family opens this door, say they aren't religious but interested, and invite us in. Me and my companion are thinking about how huge this is, when we notice there's like 20 bibles laying around. We start talking, and turns out it's a trap. What ensued was the most epic Bible bash of all time. literal beams of truth and false doctrine flying around, casualties mounting, me and my companion defending our lives. they kept saying stuff like, "you came here to find truth, not to share it," and "we can feel the walls of your faith crumbling as we speak." it was actually kind of hilarious. Eventually me and elder K manage to escape, and then we went to teach Zena. I gave her a blessing of comfort which was actually so spiritual. after that we spent literally hours sorting through sistrict drama. I don't rlly wanna drag y'all into it, but one sister in particular keeps roasting the other sisters and there are lots of tears shed. i did not sign up for this😂
Also! baptizing Gracie on Saturday so that's hype. shoutout to elder Delange for the meme haha. latest word is Chile is opened, should take just a few months.

Hasta Vernos con el rey

Hola todos! ... This is my last email as a missionary. Writing that out bring me an incredible amount of emotions. I am sad, yes, but most...
